<!-- URL discovery only — deliberately no <lastmod>, <changefreq> or <priority>.

Google ignores <changefreq> and <priority> outright, and uses <lastmod> only
"if it's consistently and verifiably accurate"; a date it can disprove gets the
signal dropped rather than merely discounted. This site has no build step, so
every date written here is hand-maintained and starts rotting the next time a
page ships: the version this replaced claimed the homepage was last modified
2026-07-01 while it had in fact been edited on most days since (2026-08-02 as
of this commit) — a daily-updated portfolio telling crawlers it had sat still
for a month, which is the opposite of what it wants to say.

An omitted lastmod is strictly better than a wrong one, and a four-URL sitemap
has exactly one job: declare the canonical URL set. Keep it that way — don't
"improve" this file by adding dates back unless the site grows a build step
that can derive them from git. Re-sync only when a page is added or retired.

/worldmonitor/ is absent on purpose: robots.txt disallows it (it mirrors
someone else's app and canonicalizes elsewhere), so listing it here would ask
for a crawl this site has already declined. -->
